ST MARY’S BAZAAR
After three very busy days, St Mary’s Bazaar was brought to a close on Saturday evening. Throughout the bazaar the ,stall-holders, secretaries and all concerned have had a strenuous time, but although the final result is not yet available, it is understood their efforts were well rewarded. About 8.30 on Saturday evening, Mr M. Houston, on behalf of the stallholders, commenced an auction sale of ali the remaining drapery and produce. The Opera House was packed, and tbs bidding was free, which .resulted iu practically all lines being cleared. Mr Houston kindly gave his services free, and the success of the auction was entirely due to his untiring efforts. To-night in St. Mary’s Club Rooms, the Aft Union will he drawn. All tickets should he in the secretary’s hands by 7.30, so that the drawing can take place punctually at 8 p.m.
