Length 62/fcet, beam 12 feet, draught G feet (loaded), speed 7 knots. Hull, kauri built, double skinned, all copper fastened; ketch rigged; sails in perfect order. ■ Registered tonnage when trading 15 tons; licensed to carry two passengers. Kitted with two Anderson oil engines (one 25 h.p. and one 14 h.p.) in good order, burns distillate or power kerosene; bilge pump, electric light, friction winch (new), handwinch, trawls, lines etc. Galley stove, fo’eastle 4 bunks, engine room 2 bunks, hold 4 bunks. The boat has recently been used for fishing, including trawling,' and is described as a good sea boat, and has been used for pleasure excursions from Hokitika to the West Coast Sounds; also for mail and cargo services from Hokitika to Okuru, and from Hokitika as far north as Karamea; cargo capacity about 20 tons.
