PONSONBY MURDER
TRIAL OF DENIS GUNN

During the trial of Denis Gunn for murder this morning, Professor Worley stated he had examined the bullets taken from Braitlnvaite’s body. He also examined three pairs of bullets fired into soap from each of the three revolvers found in the search near Gunn’s residence. He came to the conclusion that both bullets found in the body were fired from the same revolver, and that the revolver was one of these three found, the markings on the bullets from rifling* being identical. i
Detective-Sergeant Issell deposed to finding finger prints on the cash boxes and revolvers, which were taken to Wellington for - examination by Mr Dinnie, the finger print expert. There were no prints on the window pane or sills.
Dectective-Sorgeant Dinnie was in the witness box. when the court adjourned. In further evidence, he said that one of the revolvers found subsequent to the mur•der contained a finger print on the chamber which was similar to the finger print of the left middle finger if the accused.
