SEIZURE OF FODDER.
■ SYDNEY, May 27. The Hon.. Mr Dunne, Miuistor of Trade, is now threatening to seize the fodder being transhipped from Victoria unless the agents and consignors terminate speculation. The trusts are hold up at Albury awaiting drought prices.

General Sir William Birdivood arrived from Queensland yesterday, sailing for New Zealand by the Manuka on Saturday.
The following telegram was received in Greymouth last night:—“Am pleased to inform you that 1 General Birdwood will on June 22nd, visit Greymouth from Christchurch. (Signed) Thomas Seddon, Wellington.”

A mass meeting of Public Servants passed a resolution against Saturday work, provided that Saturday’s hours were distrbuted over'the remainder of the week. MELBOURNE, May 26. The Premiers’ Conference concluded yesterday. It declined to grant power to Mr Hughes to arbitrate in industrial unrest, within one State. Mr Hughes suggested a now Commonwealth Court of Industrial Boards and Councils comprising employers and employees. Mr Hughes announced much borrowing in the future and intimated a reduction of the capita payment to tl e States.
BROKEN HILT, STRIKE
MELBOURNE, May 26. It is officially stated that during the twelve months the Broken Hill miners have been on strike they have lost £2,000,000 in wags. There were 10, men on strike with 100,000 dependents directly affected.
