The Kiwi Football Club bold a practice to-night at. 7 o’clock, when final ararrangenients will be made for the match to-morrow, "All members are requested to be present. At Addington stock sales on Wednesday a good entry of fat pigs was forward, the market showing a weakening demand. The entries comprised a lot of light stuff. Choppers £6 to £9, light baconers £5 to £5 15s, heavy baconers £6 10s to £7, extra heavy baconers £8 to £8 41s, average price per lb 9A-d to 10d, light porkers £3 5s to £3 15s, heavy porkers £4 to £4 10s, average price per II) lOd to 10U1.
Wednesday’s figures relative to cases r ,f influenza reported in the Caiiterliur.vWestland Health District showed that the decrease in the number of eases continues. The total for the whole district was 24—only one case (at Lyttelton) being pneumonic. There were 7 mild cases in Christchurch, 2 at Sumner, and 2at Lyttelton. There were 24 mild cases at the Hospital, and 5 severe
cases. - Now that the cold weather is on us it is well to secure warm underwear, coats, knitted jerseys and furs, for which the house of Schroder’s are famous. —Advt.
