LONDON, May 19. j In the House of Commons, in reply 'to questions, Mr Austin Chamberiain (Chancellor of the Exchequer) , stated that Franco’s nett war debt'to Britain would probably be under £500,000,000. No definite arrangement had been reached in regard to a repayment of the debt. At the Wages Board enquiry into the railwaymen’s - claim for increases of pay, an accountant produced figures to show the cost of increased wages over prewar sums was already one hundred millions. Tbe new claim would involve a further thirty five millions. -
