STAFFORD NEWS.

(Our own correspondent.) Roy, the. little two year old son of .Mr and Mrs Henry Morgan, of Stafford, was taken to AVostland Hospital on AVednesday. The little one has been suffering from some internal malady for several days and Dr Teiehelmann advised his parents to take him to the hospital. Latest advices as to his condition, '.shows slijght improvement and less pain. AVe hope soon to hear of his complete recovery.

to record the death of George Low, I blacksmith of Stafford, who died at Westland Hospital on Wednesday night after many months of suffering from some internal complaint. It was apparent fo all his friends that his condition before entering the hospital was serious, as he had wasted away considerably in bodily- condition. At the hospital he received unremitting attention.! from the doctor and nursing, staff, without avail, passing aw’ay as above stated

The deceased was the eldest son of the late Thomas Low, blacksmith, who started business at Pipers Flat in 1866 removing from there to Quinns Terrace, and from thence, about 1868, to

Stafford where he enter into partnership with Neill McNaughton and subsequently carried on the business himself, until his death in 1904. When living at Quinn’s Terrace Mr Low senr. made a trip to Melbourne where he married. Returning to Quinn's Terrace and thence to Stafford he reared a family of three sons and two daughters. , One by one the family died leaving only George, who has himself passed to the Great Beyond, sincerely regretted by all who kne whim. With him also the last of one of the early pioneer families of Stafford have gone from us.

The funeral took place at Stafford cemetery this afternoon. Rev. Dr. Holloway impressively reading the burial service at St. John’s Church and the graveside.
