SYDNEY, May 18._ The Miners Federation in an official announcement, states there will be no general upheaval in the coalmining industry the present agreement expiring at the end of the year. WHEAT SHORTAGE. SYDNEY, May 18. At a meeting of the flourmill ers to discuss the wheat shortage, it was stated farmers were unable to obtain bran for horses, and cattle and the ppnltrv industry was on the verge of collapse. Stocks at mills average one week’s supply. The meeting sent a message to Mr Hughes, that unless supplies were maintained throughout the year the result would bd disastrous to dairying and poultry industries. RAIN PRAYERS.
