(Per Press Association,) VISIT TO OAMARU. OAMARU, M«\V !"• Since Saturday morning, Oamaru has been generously bedecking itself ih honor of the Prince’s visit. The Royal route is receiving special attention. A while holiday is observed and thousands of country children were brought in by special trains and givdn picture shows at tho Opera House, qnd wed led Hie Prince detrains at Waitaki Boy* School and inspects a guard of honour of Waitaki cadets. He inspects the building and addresses the boys. e leaves the school at 3.20 for King George’s Park,, a naturally terraced amphitheatre, where the people " have an excellent view of the. proceedings The town is full of country people and the enthusiasm is remarkable. ,
ASHBURTON’S WELCOME. * ASHBURTON, May I<Half an hour was spent by the Roya party at Ashburton where the e population of the town and country sk o turned out for the event which mark a. red letter day in the history of the place. The Prince was driven to .be Domain' where civic and- county undresses were presented and the children formed a, prominent feature of the ceremonial. Returned soldiers of course came in for His Highness s attention and they- and he were warmly cheered by the crowd. The departure from the station was marked by a .u.- s ther pronounced demonstration of e> - thusiastic loyalty.
