[PEIt PBEBB ASSOCIATION. —COPYRIGHT.] COAJj MINERS STOP. AUCKLAND, May 13. There was no work, at the l’aupiri Goal’Mines to-day. Tilts miners pointed out that there were not enough trucks for a full day’s work, and that .therefore it was not worth their while going underground for part of a day’s wrk. The railway authorities at Auckland declare that 08 trucks were ready at tlie mines this morning. They say, also, that a sufficient number of trucks for a full day’s output of coal would have been available before the afternoon. AEROPLANE MISHAP. GISBORNE, May 13. The first aviation display over given in Gisborne took place to-day. It was marred by a mishap lo the machine during tlie third passenger flight. When the machine was up above. 200 feet thepetrol pipe burst, causing a stoppage of the engine and- a forced landing, which was skilfully effected by Lieut J. Woods, the pilot, with the' result that neither he nor his passenger was injured, but slight damage was done to the machine.
