In connection with a recent cable as to improvements in aeroplane wings, a letter just received in Sydney from, Handley Page states that the improvement will result in the production of small aeroplanes, costing £l5O to £2OO, which will be housable in premises no bigger than coal sheds, and will he ustable for a week-end journey of 500 miles. The new development enables the machine with a span, say, of 100,ft to reduce its plane area £o f/ltt and yet retain the same parrying capacity. The same will apply to all classes of machines.
