The remander of European Turkey including Gallipoli, is handed over to the Greeks and Armenia, comprising the provinces of Van Mymuphitlis, part of the proviiico of Erzerum is granted complete independence, with a sea outlet at Batoum which will he internationalised. The Turks will bo allowed an army of fifty thousand. In regard to the ■ phero of influence, Franco secures Cilicia, Italy the vilayets of Koriia. and Adalia and large part of the coalfields of Hereklia, Custody of Holy places is entrusted to a British commission under tlio League of Nations. The League will also protect minorities.

ANOTHER SCUTTLE ATTEMPT PARIS, May 11. The German cruiser Thuringen was lately allotted to France. She duly arrived at Cherbourg, but when the German crew landed, it was noticed that the Thuringen was sinking. A salvage corps, with powerful pumps managed to keep her afloat, pending dry docking.
