’ AUSTRALIAN & N.Z. CABLE ABBOCI AVION J SYDNEY, This Day. The sculler McDevitt, after defeating Svd. Kemp has challenged Charlie Towns to row for the championship of New South Wales. Towns declined, on the ground of age, and handed the chain pionship to McDevitt, who has now arranged to row Ripley of Newcastle on the Paramatta for the championship.
