Government is considering the Marconi wireless scheme for linking up Australia, with the rest of the Empire and requests for establishment of stations at Norfolk and Lord Howe Islands Tho question to be decided is whether Government can afford to do the work itself, or allow it to he done by private enterprise. WESTIRALIA ELECTIONS. (Received This Day at 10.35. a.m.) PERTH, Mya 10. The biennial elections for the Legislative Council were marked by the apathy of voters. No political issue of outstanding importance was raised. The figures arc incomplete. A' bare majority of the sitting members were reelected.
