In the House of Representatives, Mr Hamil offered a joint resolution seeking to save Congress suggesting to Mr Wilson that ho should, refuse to receive Sir E. Geddes as Ireland’s diplomatic representative, and receive instead Doctor MeCarten, the Irish-Republic’s Minister. No action was taken on the resolution.

Mexican revolutionary headquarters reports that Carranza departed from Mexico City for Vera Cruz overnight, but this is not officially confirmed. Tlie Embassy does not believe the report declaring Government forces are veil entrenched to defend the city.
