IvOKATAHI GAGE. On Wednesday at the above Yards •Messrs W. Jeffries and Coy held their usual May sale when a full yarding of 161 head of cattle, 60 sheep and a. number of horses were yarded. Competition was good for all forward lines and these sold jvell as also did several cows and heifers marked for early profit. The following sales were made under the hammer. For J. G. Meliarry, '3O lambs at 23/9; For Jno. Dimmiek 6 steers at £l2, 1 licifer at £7/15/-, 2 steers at £7, 1 stag at £B, 5 steers at £6/17/6; For W. Fleming, 1 cow at £6/5/-; For J. Woolhonse 1 cow at £7/17/6, 1 at £6/10/-, l at £4/10/-, 2 (old) £3/5/-. nine calves at £l/19/-; for S. Havill, 5 steers at £lO/2/6, 3 yearlings at £4/7/6; for L. Morel 12calves at £1; For T. gtopforth 7 steers at £7/10/- 1 at £4; For N. Harris 1 cow at £5/15/for T. Crough 2 cows at £5/10/- 2 steers at £5; for Peter Jones, 8 calves at £2/5/-; for A. Smith 7 steers at £7, 4 heifers at £6; for -a client, 39 fat sheep at 32/-.
