Deposits in tlio Post Office Savings Banks of the Dominion for tlie quarter ended March 31st; last stood at £9,271608, as compared with for the corresponding quarter qf 1919, an increase of £3,406,130. Withdrawals amounted to £8,358,597 for Die first quarter of 1920; they were £4,829,473 for the corresponding quarter of 1919. The excess of deposits over tlie withdrawals in the first quarter of 1920 way £913,010, which is lower than the balance of the March quarter of 1919 by £122,995. The withdrawal* for the March quarter /exceed 1920 deposits at two places only, namely Westport and Grey mouth.
