At Addington stock sales’ on Wednesday there was a medium entry and (li demand was slacker. Choppers, £6 10.to £10; extra heavy bn Conors £8 to £8 13s; heavy bat-oners, £7 to £7 15s; others £5 15s to £6 10s; average price per lb, lOd to lOJd; heavy porkers £4 10s to £5 7s; others £3 15s to £4 ss; average price per lb lid to 11ß1. An average entry of store pigs met with a fair demand. Values were as follows Best stores, £4 to £4 10s ; medium store.£3 to £3 15s; small stores 33s to 50s, wenuers 11s to 265.
There wais a good attendance in St. Mary’s Club Rooms on Thursday night, a fine large fire adding a homely appearance to the room. The gents Ist prize (a joint of meat) was won by- Mr T. Heeimn, and the ladies Ist (a 50 of four) bv Miss Fox. Miss Freitas, (secured tlie Indies 2nd. (a teapot), and Mr A. Gil fanciers the gent’s 2nd. (a pipe). After supper a pleasant lioiu was spent in dancing to music supplied by Misses E. Heenan, E. Reid and O. Breeze.
