The Borough stad’ have been engaged si nee Monday in repairing the water supply pipe line, which was carried away on Sunday as a result of the bridge over Kapieri river being partly washed away. Repairs were, effected last evening and tin' water was turned on shortly hel'nrc live o'clock, hut it failed to retieh town, there being another break ip the pipe line. The stall' went out again this morning to endeavour to find and repair the break, which it was thought would he found iu the vicinity of Slip Hill, where a heavy slip had taken place. It is hoped that the repairs will he ell'ected to-day, and the water again made available for the town, the absence of which is being felt now in all households.
