ADDINGTON STOCK MARKET. i AN EASIER MARKET. (By Telegraph.—Special to Guardian.) CHRISTCHURCH, This Day. Messrs Matson and Co. report as follows regarding their stock sale yesterday : Fat cattle.—There was a smaller yard ing and the quality was mostly good. There was no freezing competition and unfinished cattle were hard to quit, but Prime, quality was a, shade firmer than last week. Extra steers sold to £27 15s prime £l9 to £2l; unfinished £l3 10s to £l6. Store Cattle.—A very small yarding with no quotable lines offered. The market for store cows and culls was dull. One line of 3-yr old steers poor, made £8 17s. No canning buyers were operating. Store sheep.—A smaller yarding, practically all southern stuff and of very indifferent quality. The market, except for best local sheep, was decidedly easier. Best forward wethers sold to 3ls l()d, a few extra good to 345; others ‘2os to 29s Gd. Practically all owes offered were travelled and inferior sorts making 16s Gd to 245. Lambs best 19s to 21s*7d, others 11s to 17s. Culls were lower. Fat sheep.— I The yarding was a good deal smaller than last week, but owjng to the restricted operations of freezing buyers the market, except for best sorts, was a good deal easier. Best wethers sold to 545; prime 41s Gd to 49s 6(1; good sorts 36s 6(1 to 40s; medium 31s to 34s 9d; light and inferior 26s Gd to 30s; best ewes to 495; prime 37s Gd to 45s 3d; good 30s to 36s 6(1: others 24s 6c! to 28s 6(1 lambs were also easier.
