MONDAY— “THE FACING STRAIN.” On Monday next at the Princess Theatre Pollard’s will screen a big Goldwyn racing drama, featuring Mao Marsh, entitled “The Racing Strain.” Remarkable scenes on the Saratoga racecourse in America are a Striking feature of this big picture. The story takes for its theme the straight going of two thoroughbreds, a girl and a horse. “The Racing Strain” is a lo'-e story as fresh and winsome as -pring breezes, and a love race as exciting as any ever filmed. It is a beautiful love story of pathos and appeal, showing a young girl’s loyalty for her bankrupt father. The scene depicting a contest against uneven odds with an unsernpulus gambler, and a thrilling ace at Saratoga—the most fashionable borne racing in America—is beyond description.
