Results:— LINTON HACK WELTER HANDICAP.—Valencia 1, Sweet Song 2. Whizz Bang 3. Guianform and Self Alliance fell. The latter broke his leg and was destroyed. Time 2.5. : GOLD CUP.—Amythas 1, Arrowsmith 2, Vagabond 3. Won by a length. Vagabond was well back. Time 2.13 3-5 WOODHEY HACK HANDICAP.— Cr.ueelle 1, Pnorangi 2, Princess Marion 3. Won bv a head in an exciting finish. Time 1.20. TELEGRAPH HANDICAP—Bo Peep 1, Mustard Pot 2, Silver Link 3. Won by a nose. Time 1.19.
PALMERSTON, This Day. The Manawatu races concluded in glorious weather. There was a large attendance-, and the course good. HURDLES—Omahu 1, Sail Home Sweet Tipperary. All started. Won by a head. Time 2.55. STONEYHURST WELTER—Dainty Step 1, Parorangi 2, Kilgour 3. All started. Won by half a head. Time 1.32. AVA WELTER—Sea Foam 1, Whizz Bang 2, Rebuff 3. Scr. Molyneaux. Won bv a neck. Time 1,52 3-5.
