AH AM UR A FAT STOCK SAL I
The usual fortnightly stock fixture at the - above yards took place yesterday, the yarding consisting of 9-1 fat sheep and 31 lambs, and 59 fat cattle. There was a moderate attendance ot buyers, whose operations wore marked with considerable caution, which resulted in the prices being at times patchy. Prime ox beef made up to 50s, wlu'ie cow and boiler beef covered a wide radius o( prices, from 35s to 45s per hundred. The demand for sheep was likewise slack.
Messrs G. W. Moss and Co. sold on account Mr J. McGregor, 2 blks at £l4 7s Gel, 2 at £l4 ss, 2 at £l3 ss, 1 prime cow at £l4 2s Gel, 1 at £9 2s Gd, 1 at £7 1 os, 2 hfs at £lO los, 2 at £lO 2s Gd, 2 at £9 17s Gd 2 at £9 15s 2 at £9, 1 vlr at £8 7s Gd.
Messrs W. Jeffries and Co. sold as follows:—On account Mr W. Thomson, 10 ewes at 225, 31 lambs at 22s 3d; on account Mr W. H. Karnbach, 1 str at £7, 1 vlr at £5, 1 vlr at £6; on account Mr W. Thompson, 1 vlr at £6 7s Gd, 1 at £5; on account N. Karnbach, 1 blk at £l4, 1 at £l3 2s Gd; oil account Mr IV. H. Chinn, 1 prime heifer at £ls, 3 at £l2 12s Gd, 1 at £l2, 1 at £ll 2s 6d, 3 at £lO los; on account Mr IT. Karnbach, 2 blks at £l4 15s, 3 at £l4, 1 at £l3 10s, 4 at £l3 2is Gd, 2 cows at £ll ss, 2 steers at £8 2s Gd, 1 sucker at £7 10s, 4 steers at £8 15s; on account- Mr A. Jamieson, 4 dry cows at £5. '
