There were no big pigs among the. stores, of which there was a fair entry. The demand for weaners was more pronounced than at recent sales. Prices were as foHows:—Medium sorts, £2 15s to £3 3s; smaller, £1 18s to £2 8s ; weaners, 17s for small to 26s for good.
The Christchurch. Office of the Union Steamship Company have been advised that the Maori will arrive at Lyttelton from Port Chalmers on Friday, and will take up the Mararoa’s running on Friday night. The Maori will leave Lyttelton on Mondays, Wednesdays, ■ and Fridays for Wellington, on the arrival of the Invercargill express.
