In tlio Assembly General Smuts 'announced. the reconstruction of the Ministry. Mr Burton takes the portfolio •if Finance; Mr Malnn that of Agriculture, Mines and Education ; Mr Watt, of Railways, Interior and Health; Mr Jacobus Grau.f, Pests and Telegraph. General Smuts announced that Orr and i'an I [cordon bad resigned their portfolios, and he added that no other changes wore intended, but the door, ■ was left open for rearrangement so as to secure a Parliament,. majority oil lines ol his recent proposals to the party loaders. Thus, excepting for the redistribution of portfolios and resignations of Orr and Van Heerdeii. the personnel of the Ministry is unchanged. :
