PQLLARD’S PICTURES,

“THE LITTLE MOTHER.” TONIGHT.

To-nig]it at the Princess Theatre, Pollards’ Picture attraction will he the child Bernhardt of the screen, Little Emmie Gorman as ‘‘The Little Mother” and the 13th Episode of “The Lightning Raiders.” The story of “The Littio Mother can be described as a domestic drama, in which the diminutive star plays mother, wife, cook, laundress chnffeuse, while all through she is comforter to a blind father, working up to the climax where she acts as peacemaker reuniting her father with his estranged parents. Occasionally a child is discovered with more than usual ability to portray roles that are associated with those of mature age. Such a child is little Emmie Gorman, now starring in ‘ The Little Mother.”

THURSDAY, “THE HAYSEEDS.”

To-morrow (Thursday) evening Pollards will present the big Australian Feature “The Hayseeds” one of Steele Rudd’s great stories of the backblocks of Australia. The part of Dad Hayseed is portrayed by the famous Australian actor Roy Redgrave, and the film can compare with the best of American productions. '
