SESSUE HA YAK AWA MONDAY On Monday evening next, in the Princess Theatre, Pollards will present the greatest of Japanese actors, Sessue I-layakawa. in the Exhibitors Mutual, latest and best super-feature, “The Temple of Dusk.” The picture uas filmed in the Golden Gate Park of San Francisco, in the Japanese Tea Gardens, which nro famous all over the world for their richness and atmosphere of old Japan. The story is. a touching one of fidelity and self sacrifice on the part of %. young Japanese poet, and Hayakawa in the role runs the gamut of all the emotions. The honours are shared by Jane Novak, and Sylvia Bremer, while a wonderful child-actress is seen in Mary Jane Irving; tho name of the little girl mupt be prophetic of great things.' As tho Poet Akira, one sees Hayakawa, not as the stoical, slow moving calm Japanese but as an embodiment of human emotions. Sessue Havakawa at all times an actor of exception! ability in “The Temple of Dusk” plays a part that raises him head and shoulders, above .tho average.
