j (By Electric Telegraph—Copyright.) ) BARRACKS ATTACKED. (Received This Day at 3 a.i11.) ; LONDON, April 8. A determined attack was made on the barracks at Roskean Tipperary. The police sent up rockets which were seen at Thurlcs, whence reinforcements, armed with rifles, went to their , assistance. On arrival at Roskeen a fight in pitch darkness followed, in which one policeman was wounded. The , raiders were driven off. ' RAID ON BALLROOM, i (Received Tins Day at 8 a.m.) ■ LONDON, April 8. ' Sinn Feiners raided a fashionable ball- ' room at Dungavin, broke the windows, removed the Union Jacks decorating the hall, and replaced them with Sinn 1< ein flags.
