J The three-thousand tons steamer Anghinish, en-route from Port Pirie o New Castle, with 4500 tons of iron or© aboard, went ashore off Montague i Island. It is feared that she will become a total wreck. Advices have been received from Sydney that the Federal Government’s liner Carawa, which grounded at Galapagos Island, is a total loss. The crew are supposed to have landed. The vessel carried a cargo of oil from Port Arthur, Texas, valued at £200,000. MR HOLMAN RESIGNS. (Received *This Dav at 3 a.m.) SYDNEY, This Day.
