WEDDING BELLS.

\ very pretty wedding was solemnised at the brides parents’ residence Gibson Quay, Hokitika on March 31st by the Rev. P. B. Fraser the contracting par ties being Daisy Marion, second daughter of Mr and Mrs .Tames Foote, and Leo. second son of Mr and Mrs Barltrop of Hampden Street, Hokitika. The bride was given away by her father and looked / harming in a g 1 ' 0 ? urabardino costume. She was attended by Miss Roth Foote, sister of the bride w ho wore a navy blue costume with white straw bat. The bridegroom was attended by Mr Hector BarUrnp, brother of the bridegroom. The bride s present to the bridegroom was a gold rendant with Now Zealand coat of arms, the bridegroom being a returned soldier. Tho bridegroom’s present to the bride was a gold brooch set with pearls and to the bridesmaid a gold brooch set with rubies. The presents were numerous and useful, and irio .1 - rd several cheques. About fifty guests sat down to the wedding breakfast,’ the room being tastefully arranged with flowers and drapings after whch the toast. of the bride and bridegroom was drunk wishing them all sorts of woaltlu. health and prosperity in their future life. Tho happy couple left by evening train amidst showers of confetti and rice en route for Nelson where the honeymoon is to be spent.
