Cliayton, one of the most prominent settlers in Marlborough, died on Saturday in his 84t,h year. Deceased was identified with many public bodies, and private institutions including the licensing committee, Picton Hospital board, patriotic association, sheep-own-ers union and rifle association. He leaves a grown up family. Two of his sons are General Sir Edward Chaytor, and Colonel Darcy Chaytor. M.U.1.0.0.F. AUCKLAND, This Day. Manchester Unity Conference balance sheet which was approved, showed that the funeral fund amounted to £48,208 compared with £47,745 last year. The management fund is £1082; lodge relief fund £1377; other funds £409, making a total of £51076. The amount of funeral claims met during the year was £IO,OBO. Soldier members’ sick pay totalled £9489. The Society also paid to lodge soldier members contributions amountng to £9716.
