FLEMING, —Killed in action in France on April 6th. 1918, Lance-Corpl. Furness John Fleming of Kokatalii. Just two sad years has now gone past Since that great sorrow fell; Yet in our hearts we mourn the loss * Of him we loved so well. In tlie prime of life, God claimed him, In the joy of his manhood days. None knew him, but to love him. None mentioned his name but in praise. . SOUTER,—In loving memory of LaneeSergt. Patrick Souter, 10th Reinforce merits, N.Z. Expeditionary Force, killed in action in France on April sth 1918. He left his home in perfect health, He little thought of death so nigh, But God saw best to take him home And with liis will we must comply.
The shock was great, the pain severe To part with one we loved so dear. Our triads hard, we’ll not complain, But trust in God to meet again.
