BOWLING.

Tlie Hokitika Bowling Club held i progressive pairs game yesterday for a pair of Maltese crosses presented by Mr AV. JJerry. The day was perfect and the green in capital order. Play commenced promptly at 0.30 o’clock and was continued, with an adjournment for lunch, until 5.30 p.m. Six games were played and the winners proved to be D. Stevenson, with o games, of the skips, and of AAk Bruce, 4 games of the leads. The points scored bv the other players Blank 4, Nalder, Benjamin, Boyd, Braddon, Berry 3 each, Anderson and Chapman 2 each, among the skips, and ITickson 4 games (losing on points scored), Macfarlanc, Feddersen, Valentino, Pilkington, Bain and Scott. 3 each, J. Stevenson and Schultz, 2 each. At the conclusion of play the medals were presented to the winners by the Secretary, (Mr Nalder), cheers being given for the winners and the donor. This concluded a highly successful days’ play.
