r Australian w n.j. CAiq.p GENERAL STRIKE IN RUHR, PARIS, April 1 Tfie Communists have answered the German Government’s ultimatum by leclaring a general strike in the Ruhr district. RUHR REPORTS. BERNE, March 31. The miners in the Ruhr Basin are mostly idle. The Red authorities are confiscating all the coal, foods and supplies Government troops at Wesel made numerous counter attacks with armoured cars, and drove Red troops from the town. The victors'captured large supplies of dumdum bullets. Red force® looted Duisberg Bank of a million marks. They also secured three million at Mnlheim. Communists arrested a moderate number of the Dusseldorf Workmen’s Council.
