ivOKATAiiI AUTUMN STOCK SALT

M. Houston and Co. report as follows :—Wo held our Autumn Sale of Stock at Kokatahi Yards yesterday, there being a good attendance of buyers from all parts of the district, with the result that competition was keen right throughout t|lio sale and the large yarding was all cleared at very satisfactory prices. Grown cattle sold well, whilst calves and yearlings which at previous salves were almost neglected met with a ready demand. Sheep and lambs sold well.

Ecclesfield; 1 heifer at £4, 1 at £3/10/- for D. Cullen; 9 small wcaners at 22/- for J. Shannon; 8 2Jyr. steers at £9/8/- for R. Preston; 11 2}yr steers at £9/8/- for A. Michel; 6 weaner calves at 34/- for A. Fleming; 11 9Jfyr. steers at £9/11/-, 9 at £9/7/6, 1 stag at £3/12/6 for IT. E. Winter; 16 wcaner calves at £2 for A. Jamieson; 12 wcaner calves at 36/- for M. Baird; 10 18 mos. heifers at £4/4/- for J). Mulholland; 16 2|yr. steers at £9/5/-, 2 cows at £7/10/-, for T. Stopforth; 11 18 mos. mixed cattle at £4/2/6 for H. Growcott; 18 wcaner calves at 39/- for G. McCloud; 9 18-mos. steers at £6/5/-, 9 18-mos. heifers at £O/5/-, 3 vealers at £3/1/-, 2 aged cows at £4/4/-, 2 fat cows at £9/7/6, for Spence Bros; 1 fat cow at £B/2/6, 1 stag at £B/11/6 for J. W.
