BOWLING.

On Good Friday the Hokitika Bowling Club will hold a pairs progressive ! tournament for two Maltese crosses presented by Mr AY. Berry of McGruei and Co. There are twenty entrants, aiid play will commence at 9.30 a.m. and continue to 12.45 p.m. An adjournment will then be made for lunch and play wili he resumed at 2 o clock and continued until 5.20 p.m. As it will be necessary to start promptly every member is requested to attend promptly at the hour named for starting. Tlie games will l>e of 16 heads, with ft time limit of one hour 5 and six games will he played during the day. Given a fine day, a very successful tournament will rosint.
