BOXING.
BOXING TOURNEY. WESTPORT, March 27th. On Friday night a most successful turney was held. The results were as follows: W. Phibbs 5.6 v, Gordon Phibbs 4.10. an exhibition bout of three rounds. T. Phibbs 9.10. (Westport) beat J. Boyd 8.9 (Denniston) in a six two minute bout. Snowy Griffiths 10.8 (Birchfield) beat Wilcox 10.1 (Waiuta.) in a six two minute rounds bout. Carl Calloway (Wellington) and J. O’Neill (Westport) gave an exhibition four round spar. J. Garvey 10.9 (Runanga) beat C. Martin) 10.9 (Stockton) after a good go. Martin broke two bones in bis hand in the second round. Bryan McCleary 12.4 (Addington), beat W- Senior 11.0 (Westport). This was a 6 round go, but Senior after taking a count of five and finishing the first round was clearly outmatched and threw in the towel,
