WELLS BEATS JOUKNUF. LONDON, March 18. In the match against Wells in the Albert- Hall, Jonrncc opened with hurricane tactics and Yells defended coolly A beautiful straight loft to the jaw discouraged the Frenchman, who suffered punishment from left and right. Tn the second round lie was apparently noil plussed, and returned to his corner wearily. Wells continued aggressively from the third to the sixth round, and was himself hardly touched. In the seventh round Wells boxed his opponent all over the ring, delivering some heavy punches. .Tournee rallied in the eighth and made a. rush ill the ninth, receiving a straight left on the chin with terrific force, and the spectators wondered why Wells failed to finish the fight in the- tenth round. .Tournee went down four times in the thirteenth round for five, four, eight and nine seconds, and was counted out after a right swing on the point of the jaw.
