WATAROA STOCK SALE.

At the Wataroa Yards on tlie 16th inst., Messrs Jeffries and Co., held their annual Autumn fixture when 163 head of cattle and 51 sheep were submitted to competition. There was a feipreoentative attendance of buyers and competition was keen throughout the sale. Good forward 21 yr. steers realised up to £l4/2/6 and forward 2 year old steers up to £l2/7/6, a feature of the sale being the excellent price recorded for a line of yearling steers submitted by Ferguson Bros, and which realised the good price of £6/7/6. The supply was not equal to the demand for good framed cattle and in consequence several graziers were not filled. The following sales were recorded: On account of Mr T. Condon, 5 forward heifers at £ll/5/-, 9 forward 2\ yr. steers at £l3. On account of T. Rodgers 1 steer at £l2. On account Ferguson Bros 10 yearling heifers at £4/2/6, 10 yearling heifers at £3/17/6, 20 yearling steers at £6/7/6. On account of A. and T. Mcßride 11 2Jyr. forward bullocks at £l2/5/-, 9 forward heifers at £9/15/-. On account of Walter Scott 4 f. and f. 2} steers at £l4/2/6, 4 forward 2yr. steers at £l2/7/6, 1 dry cow at £B, 3 light heifers at £7/10/-. On account Walsh Bros., 2 ,2Jyr forward steers, 'at £ll/12/6, 11 forward heifers at £9. On account of J. C. Christiansen 28 fresh steers at £9/10/-. On account of H. Heveldt 51 ewes and wethers at 27/-.

ARAHUJRA FAT STOCK SALE, At the Arahura Yards yesterday . Messrs Jeffries' and Co. held their lortnightiy fixture, the yarding being a small one and comprised 23 head of cattle only. Prices were equal to those at last sale and everything was cleared. The following sales were recorded. On account Mr J. Diedrich, 3 heifers at £lO, 1 heifer at £ll/2/6, 1 heifer at £ll, 2 heifers at £9/5/-, 2 heifers at £B, 2 heifers at £B/5/-, 2 heifers at £lO/5/-, 4 bullocks at £ls. On account Robt. Bradley, 1 .springer at £B/10/-. ITie following lines were sold by private treaty. On account A. Smith 30 woolly lambs at 255. On account Nolan and Heveldt, 70 fat sheep at 30/-. On account Messrs Little Bros., 23 fresh 2yr. old steers at £7/7/6.

ARAHURA FAT STOCK SALE. Messrs M. Houston and Co. report as follows:—We held our usual fortnightly sale at the above yards yesterday when we submitted a lino of wellfinished bullocks oil account of J. Olson, all of which were disposed of at saitsfactory prices. We sold on account of Mr J. Olson 1 bullock at £lB 2 bullocks at £l7, 4 bullocks at £l6 15s, 4 bullocks at £l6 2s 6d, 2 bullocks at £l2. On account of estate of the late H. Diedrichs, 1 heifer at £ll.
