McLEAN’S PICTURES* ST .JOHN AMBULANCE BENEFIT, TUESDAY. Mr McLean is giving a benefit entertainment for St. John Ambulance on Tuesday evening when the special feature will be “Kildare of Storm,” with Emily Stevens in the leading role. “Kildare of Storm” is a vital photodrama, pulsating with life and vigor. Kate Kildare has great problems to face—her sorrows and joys are dynamic and elemental, and no other actress could have portrayed Kate so wonderfully as Emily Stevens has done. “Ivildaro of Storm” is placed in a Southern setting. Basil Kildare is owner of one of those great old estates whose master’s word is law, and he rules with an iron hand. In the darkness of storm comes love like a lightning flash, striking as it illumines. How tragedy comes to Kate before the haven of heart’s desiro is attained is wonderfully and dramatically told in this feature screen romance, which calls forth all the power of Emily Stevens’ splendid ability. “Kildare of Storm” is a play to remember. A fine supporting programme will also be given .
