[run punas association.— copyright.] A TRAIN ACCIDENT. CHRISTCHURCH, This Day. A distressing occurrence took place at Grcenpark on Saturday on a train on which a school picnic party was returning to Cbristchurieh, a little girl, Mary Wright, having her right hand fractured above the wrist and left arm broken above the elbow. The train was stationery at Grcenpark for. a short wliilo, and on the next set of rails were several cattle trucks. The girl’s arms were dangling from the carriage window and as the train moved, they struck fl'»* open door of a cattle truck. The guard applied first aid, and on arrival at Christchurch tho sufferer was removed to tlie hospital.
