CHURCH UNION.

BISHOP OF DUNEDIN SYMPATHETIC. DUNEDIN, March 13. At the reception tendered to dele, rates attending the annual meeting of the Congrgat'onal Union, the dominant note in all the speeches was the possibility of Church union. In the course of a lengthy letter apologising for his absence and appointing Canon Nevill in his stead, the Bishop of Dunedin wrote: “When we hare men lie Dr Horton and other great leaders of thought writing and speaking as though reunion were a possibility at Homo, we ought surely to do what wo can to promote it in this far-olf corner of the vineyard. We have great underlying truths which we all hold in common, and in answer to united faithful prayer on our part, it may be given us to realise, even m our day, the greater fullness of life, and power which will come when all who lore the Lord Jesus Christ are one-m living organic unity according to His will.
