YY'ATAROA STOCK SALE.
Messrs M. Houston and Co. report as follows". —AYe held a sale of stock at AVataroa Sale Yards yesterday, there being a large attendance of buyers. There was a largo yarding ot cattle, and competition was keen for all good lines of cattle, but slackened towards the end of the sale. There was keen competition for sheep. AVe sold on account of Jas. Mcßride, 40 2-tooth lvethers at 30s 4d, TO do. at 30s 4d, 30 ewes and wethers at 275; on account of Messrs Dohn Eros., 28 wethers at 32s • 3d, 35 breeding ewes at 33s 3d, 23 full mouth ewes at 28s 3d, 50 lambs at 21s Gd; on account of P. J. Walsh, 6 heifers at £9; on account of Mr Jas. McBride, 4 heifers at £0 7s 6d, 5 fat cows a!t £ll 10s; on account of A. I.Flax- , milling Coy., 2 bollocks at £l2.
