On Monday next Pollards present the Red Feather photoplay, “The Nature Man,” a most unique picture, depicting the experiences of Joseph Knowles in the Maine Woods, where he fought wild nature for a living. A few years back the whole world was aroused by the accounts of the adventures of Joseph Knowles, the “Nature Man,” who, to settle a wager, went into the wilds to prove that mere man, naked and unashamed, could with his bare hands and his intellect wrest from nature a living. For three months he endured the hardships this life entailed, and it is difficult to imagine more thrilling experiences—but lie won—by sheer pluck and perseverance, during his sojourn having countless times encountered and fought wild animals with such crude weapons as lie could fashion without tools, having faced u+.nVTroi.irvn onrl PvfcrP/lttA Or
winter. Knowles’ experiences are an inspiring illustration of the ability of a strong man to survive under the most trying conditions. The Universal Company persuaded him to re-enact many of his experiences, thus making a permanent record of what was h striking and rarely unique achievement. Also the latest Gazette , and comedy.
