The slump in tin is attribued to profit* taxing, also the strike in South Wales has prejudicially affected the consumption. ARAHURA STOCK SALE. On Monday the regular Araliura stock sale took place, . there being a very representative attendance of buyers and competition being keen throughout. At the close beef averaged about 46s per 1001 b. Messrs W. J Jeffries and vx>. report having yarded 71 lambs, 56 fat cattle, and 15 dairy COWS. The line of cows was an excel lent one, but owing to the late stage of the dairying season, they did not realise. under the hammer prices anything like equal to their value. The sales effected were as follows: On account Nolan and Heveldt, 71 fat lambs, 21s each; M. J. Purcell, 2 fat heifers, £l3 10s; 2at £ll 10s, 2 at £lO, 2at £9 ss, 2 at £8 10s, 2 at £8 2s 6d, 2 at £7 15s; Henry Karnbach, 1 bullock, £l7 10s, 4 at £l6 2s 6d, 2 at £l3 7s 6d, 2 at £l3, 3 at £l2 12s 6d, 1 heifer £l2 10s; W. Karnbach, 2 bullocks at £l3 11s; P. Jones, 2 dry cows at £B, 1 at £9 ss, 1 at £7 15s, 1 at £9, 1 at £ll 17s 6d, 1 at £lO 12s 6d, 1 at £6. Messrs G. W. Moss and Co. sold: — On account Mr Adamson, 2 bullocks at £l6, 2 at £ls 2s 6d, 2 at £l4, 1 at £l3 10s,' sat £l3 7s 6d, 2 at £l3 ss, 1 at £ll 17s 6d, 1 heifer at £lO 2s 6d, 3 at £7.
