' p, EB pkkhs association.— copybight,] APIA, Samoa, This Day. Sunday was passed quietly. Members attended the Hendon missionary society's churches. The Samoans were gratified. Many were present at the early, native service. On Tuesday the party motored to most western end of the island, to the plantation of four thousand acres of cocoamits worked mostly by Solomon Islanders. It also carries four thousand cattle for Islands consumption. The party in charge of Mr Carncross went by launch twelve miles to Saluafata, to pay a courtesy visit to the Samoans who were unable to reach Apia. Mr Carncross at a native feast conveyed the fircetings of the Government and was greatly applauded. Hie officers of the Administration who had wives, were entertained at dinner on the Mokoia. Members of the party were greatly impressed by the fine wireless station, which is more modern than 'Awnnui. IMb yf Mokoia leaves for Sava.ii on Wednesday night returning to Apia on Thursday and thence to Tonga. The weather is humid.
