IRISH NATIONAL CONCERT
A BIG EVEINT.
Citzeiis of Hokitika and district arc looking forward with pleasure to next Tuesday night when an Irish National Concert will be staged in the Princess Theatre. Irish concerts are always greeted with packed houses and the programme this time is second to none ever given before. The Committee have made a special engagement with Mr John Rosewarne, already well known here as a brilliant elocutionist, to recite that famous niece “Jud Browning’s account of Rubenstein’s piano playing.” Mr Rosewarne will also give several humorous selections. Arrangements have also been made for the services of Messrs T. Clarke, M. and P. Fitzgerald of Greymouth, Mr T. Hogan of Rewanui and Mr Dan Roberts of Ross. •Local performers will include the Overseas Orchestra, Convent pupils, Misses Jones, Hatch, Devanoy, Daly and Stopforth, and Messrs' W. Berry, C. Gibbons, Thos. Stopfortli and others. Pnt'rons may secure tickets now. The prices are 2s and Is.
