WEDDING BELLS.

A very pretty wedding was celebrated at Woodstock Presbyterian Church, on Wednesday, March 3rd, tlie contracting parties being Miss Sarah Forsyth, eldest daughter of Mr and Mrs Forsyth of Kanieri, and Mr Richard Gunn of Wataroa, South Westland. The bride entered the church on the arm of her father, and was daintly dressed in a gown of white Japanese silk, hand embroidered, and wearing the orthodox wreath and veil, and carrying a beautiful shower bouquet of white flowers and maiden hair fern, the gift of tho bride’s friend.

The service was conducted by the Rev P. B. Fraser of Hokitika, the church being beautifully decorated by the friends of the bride. The bride was attended by her two sisters Misses Lizrde and Isabel Forsyth, the chief bridesmaid being attired in white Japanese silk, and black hat with touches of vieux rose, and wearing a gold brooch, the gift of the bridegroom. Miss Isabel looked girlish in her frock of white embroidered voile, with pink sash and cream hat trimmed with pink, she also wearing a brooch, the gift of the bridegroom. The bridegroom was attended by his brother, Mr Alex Gunn. After the ceremony a number of friends were entertained at "a sumptuous breakfast at the residence of the bride’s parents at Kanieri, where justice was done to the repast, the usual toasts being honoured, and all good wishes being expressed for the bride atid bridegroom. The happy "couple afterwards left by ear mid showers of rice and confetti for parts unknown, the bride travelling in a costume of nigger brown serge with hat to match. The presents were numerous and costly, including several cheques. Mr and Mrs Gunn carry with them the good wishes of their friends.
