ADDINCTON STOCK MARKET. A FIRM MARKET. (By Telegraph.—Special to Guardian.) CHRISTCHURCH, This Day. Messrs Matson and Co. report as follows regarding their stuck sale yesterday Fat Cattle.—There was a medium yarding and prices were as good as last week for prime steers, and a shade bettor for cows. Freezing buyers were operating strongly. Prime steers sold to £24 iOs, good £l9; cows and heifers £ll 10s to £l3 and up to £l6 for ex■tra.
Store catte.—There was a small, yarding mostly store cows and hulls. The demand was easier for young cattle. All store cows and bulls sold at prices better than last week. No quotable liues of young cattle were sold. Store cows £o 10s to £9, bulls up to £ll 15s for extra heavy. Store sheep.—A large yarding and good sale right through. Rape lines from 18s to 22s 6d, others 15s 6d to 17s; sound mouth owes from 25s 6d to 29s 6d others from lGs to 255. For ware wethers from 28s to 325, two tooth wethers 23s to 26s 6d. The market was firm throughout. Fat sheep.—A large yarding, but tlic quality was very irregular, including a largo proportion of medium sheep, n o market opened slightly easier but improved. Rest wethers to 48s, pn»i« 36s Od to 41s Gd; lighter 30s to 3ts; lighter 24s to 28s 6d. A very _ largo yarding of lambs, but the quality was indifferent. All good sorts were firm, but others were slightly easier.
