It'Eß PBESS ASSOCIATION.—COPYRIGHT.] WELLINGTON, This Day A majority of the party landed at 'Niue The ships boats had a precarious passage through the narrow breach in a dangerous reef ,the waves breaking heavily. All were'relieved when the passage was safely accomplished. Mr Morris, (Government Agent) and Ellison, (doctor), boarded the Mokoia on arrival. It was a welcome' surprise as the last vessel was in November. The residents j were unaware of the results of the New | Zealand election, stores were low. All foodstuffs, a motor car, and a German gun were landed and some cargo dis- ! charged.. Sir James .Allen announced that a j tender had been accepted for an Auckland to Niue schooner service. The New Zealand Red Cross had given £IOOO for j hospital and schools, which were in- I speeded hv members, who regard.eduen- j tion as the hope of the future of the j peoples. Europeans were entertained aboard. Fortunately Niue is our last bad landing. The weather is hotter and all are well.
